Barry Hoffman, DDS MS

Orthodontics is both art and science. I have the opportunity to give my patients beautiful smiles though both professional and artistic efforts. Every new patient is a blank canvas where I can paint a beautiful smile. It’s so rewarding to see the smiles and expressions of appreciation when patients finish their treatment. The youth and enthusiasm of my patients has energized me every day for the last  34 years I’ve been in practice.

I have been actively involved in teaching seminars in the theory and use of Insignia™ and have recently helped initiate the use of Insignia at the University of Alberta’s Graduate Orthodontic Program. For more than 30 years, I have traveled across North America to continue my education, learning about 3D Cone-beam technology, Damon® System braces, and Invisalign® clear aligners, all in an effort to provide the best care to my patients. I am also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.

In the Office

Our team is special because of our years of experience in patient care. We have team members with more than 25 years of experience in orthodontics. Every person in our office is an expert in their area. Dr. Wolk and I work together with our team members, providing optimal care to all our patients. Our staff knows that the patient comes first, and all of their efforts are focused in that direction.

Family Life

I am originally from Detroit, Michigan, and have lived in Calgary since 1977. My wife, Linda, and I have two grown sons, Ryan who is married to Jocelyn, and Adam who is married to Alexandra. Linda and I have travelled extensively over the last ten years, now that our children have started lives of their own. I also enjoy spending time outdoors in the summer and can be found swimming and kayaking as much as possible.
