About Our Doctors

Practicing together for more than 33 years, Drs. Barry Hoffman and Ron Wolk have created thousands of straight, beautiful teeth, well-aligned jaws, and happy, smiling patients. They share a practice philosophy based on keeping their office on the cutting edge of technology, giving back to the community, and going above and beyond their patients’ expectations. Most of all, Drs. Hoffman and Wolk want to improve the lives of the people around them, whether it is by relieving discomfort from an improperly functioning bite or giving a person an improved sense of self-esteem when they show off their smile. They see every smile they’ve created as a work of art and are as passionate about orthodontics today as they were the day they began.

Drs. Hoffman and Wolk met in graduate school at the University of Minnesota and have worked together in the Calgary area ever since. They have a mutual trust and respect for each other that extends into every facet of their practice and to every person they employ. Their staff members, many of whom have been with them for more than 20 years, have been hand-picked for their commitment to patient care and a shared dedication to the health and happiness of their patients. To the entire team, there is nothing better than looking at someone at the end of their treatment and seeing how it has changed their life.

As active professionals in the dental and orthodontic communities, Drs. Hoffman and Wolk stay involved through memberships with the Canadian Dental Association, the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, the American Association of Orthodontists, and numerous other local and regional chapters and societies. They are also both Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics. Their commitment to the dental community doesn’t end there. The two have lectured and mentored for local universities, founded the Calgary alumni chapter of the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, and helped in facilitating the Burns Memorial Fund to provide orthodontic treatment to children and families in need.
